Barnegat Light Mayor Kirk O. Larson cruised to victory in Tuesday's Republican primary race, according to results provided by the Ocean County Clerk's Office.
Larson, E. 13th Street, received 182 votes, or 66.18 percent in his quest for another four-year term.
His challenger, Eric Svelling, Central Avenue, received 91 votes or 33.09 percent of the vote. A total of 275 voters went to the polls.
