Holiday Inn Displacing Hurricane Victims.

The Manahawkin Holiday Inn is in fact displacing or evicting Hurricane Sandy Victim's .

One Monday I was in fact one of the Victim's evicted . I was evactuated on Monday morning. The Holiday in has systematically been adding to the already streeses out residents of the storm making each sign up everyday for a extension and then not notifying you.  But making sure there a express checkout you awake to each day . The Mangers here there are two are only on dutie during the day light hours none comes in before 10:00am . This further adds to the flustration of residents because they have no contact and two they simply don't know if they have a place to stay everyday. 

The Township of Staford has been one of the greatest in responsding to this disaster Shelters where installed . Red cross was in place clothing food and clean up began immediately .I cant say enough about the current team in place .

That being said the Holiday in in Manahawkin not only is evicting Victim's the also will not accept pre approved Fema Residents or there Money . The closet hotel to the disaster areas start in Atlantic city  Then the nexy closest is Spring Lake . Then to the west its almost another 70 miles to nearest Hotel on The Official Fema List .

Homeoners like me with out transportaion are left in this vast void not only diasther 

Victim's but Fema officals them self are displaced all over the state. Currently ever Fema Hotel is booked solid . this leads me back to why would The Holiday inn accepted new reservations when in fact there hotel is already full of willing self paying Guest and most if not all have been Approved for the Fema Housing money . 

Another note the Morning we were evicted . Our only source of food the hotel restaurant . None showed up for work.  Efforts to Contact Holiday in Corporate have only been meet with please contact the Duty Manager at The Holiday Inn ,The same people evicting the Victims . 

I am now forced to Stay and protect my home with a generator and firewood we have tested our electric circuits and were lucky having only 10 inches of water in our home a miracle being his close to the Water . We are currnetly awaiting power and a Town inspection . All thou every house around us had power .iE Mallard island Yacht club , Tonys Bait and Tackle, All of Mud City , But for some reason not for our street Railroad ave. Which by the way was cleared of all debris and houses electris boxes secured five days ago . Again cant say enough for the Town of Staffords leaders . 

Fema by the way already approved us for funds to repair our home inspected it now if we can only get Alatntic city electric and the Building department in Sync. P.S. 

We have no forms of gas lines on our side of Bay ave.  More to come as we clean up after Sandy .
