Arnold Dworkis Of Barnegat Dies At 80



Arnold Dworkis, 80, of Barnegat, passed away at home on June 10, 2014.

Born in Brooklyn, he formerly resided in Paramus for many years. Having a passion for horses, he owned and raced champion trotters and pacers at the Meadowlands Racetrack.

After retiring to the "Four Seasons at Mirage" in Barnegat, Arnold enjoyed serving on the Boardof Trustees, and being a member of the Men's Club, Mirage Lunch Box, Pinochle and Bridge Groups and the Italian-American Club.

Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Norma (Serio) Dworkis; three children, Debbie Dworkis, Lisa Moser, Michele and husband Mark Porrino; two grandchildren, Alyssa Moser and Joseph Porrino; a sister, Estelle Serle.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday at the Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. Private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Arnold's memory made to Ken's Kitchen, c/o St. Mary's Church, PO Box 609, Barnegat, NJ 08005 appreciated.
