Frederick J. Koffer, 89, of Barnegat passed June 16, 2014. Born in West New York, NJ he is a US Army veteran of WWII. He formerly resided in Montvale, NJ where he was active in local politics and served on the Zoning Bd. of Adjustment for over 30 years. Frederick settled in "Four Seasons Mirage" in Barnegat and became active with various committees, including the Welcoming Committee, Remembrance Committee and Mirage Lunch Box.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Blossom (Nuber) Koffer; a son, Frederick D. Koffer; a grandson, Kenneth Koffer.
Viewing Thursday, June 19th from 2 to 5 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. Interment Friday in Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, NJ.
