Nancy J. King, Longtime Stafford Police Dispatcher, Dies At 71

Visitation, memorial service slated for Friday

Nancy J. King, 71, of Barnegat, passed away on Wednesday June 18, 2014 at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia.

Born in New York City, she lived in Woodcliff Lakes and West Creek before moving to Barnegat 13 years ago. She attended West Creek United Methodist Church.

Nancy worked as a dispatcher for the Stafford Police Department for 31 years and as a cashier for Caesars in Atlantic City for 15 years. She enjoyed crocheting, playing BINGO, floating in her daughter’s swimming pool and most of all spending time with her family. Nancy loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she adored her dogs.

She was predeceased by Robert Wayne King in 2006 and mother Josephine Scheider in 2004.

She is survived by her son Robert Wayne King (Lisa Philhower) of West Creek,

daughters Nancy Dawn King of Ithaca, NY, Natalie Faith King of Ithaca, NY and Stacey Hope King of Barnegat,  brother Carl Scheider and wife Sonia of FL, sister Jackie Poort of AZ, grandchildren Jamie Nicole Gerhart, Justin Robert Fendelander, Michelle Rose Fendelander and Antonio Manuel Pacheco II, great grandchildren Kai Jacob Lego and Inari Faith Gerhart and her faithful Companion Chloe’.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the memorial service at 5:30 p.m. on June 27 at the Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
