Yes, Mr. Scrooge, “others” does include the fire trucks whisking Santa and Mrs. Claus around town to the delight of young and old alike. Many thanks to the Barnegat Fire Department for their hard work and dedication. Thanks too to the hard working women of the Ladies’ Auxiliary.

Others would be things like, removing downed trees from roadways to allow safe passage, assisting the first aid squad with lifting and transporting large patients, removing children stuck between stair railings, removing children stuck in toys, dumpster fires, cars into houses, etc. just to name a few. We're always looking for new volunteers to help out, feel free to come down to the Main Station on Birdsall Street at 7:30 on the first or third Tuesday of the month and pick up an application, and you too can help your fellow citizens as well as be part of saving the town over 4 million dollars each year in labor costs by having an ALL volunteer fire company.

In the 25 years of living in barnegat. The Barnegat Fire Dept has been an asset to the town. I worked side by side with the Fire department many times. Great group of people and always ready to handle what ever is put in front of them. Thank you Barnegat Fire Company for all you do.
