A Message To Stafford Dispatchers From A Grateful Police Department

The Stafford Township Police Department posted this message on Facebook for the township police dispatchers:

April 13-19, 2014
National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

Dear S.T.P.D. Dispatchers,
(Michelle B., Maureen H., Lisa V., James M., Lucinda M., John P., Tina M., Donna F., Billie Gean B., Doreen E., Mary W., Erin D., Dan R.)

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for keeping us safe each time you dispatch us on a call. Often our lives and the lives of others depend on your ability to gather information from a hysterical 9-1-1 caller and to radio that information to us quickly and accurately while calming the caller, or giving CPR instructions, or simultaneously dispatching Fire and EMS, or one of the many other task that you are trained to do.

Thank you for your patience with us. At times it must seem that you are the forgotten ones working in the Communications Center and only having contact with us by telephone or radio. Please know that you are truly appreciated be us. HAPPY TELECOMMUNICATORS WEEK!

Thank you,
