UPDATE: Authorities Investigating Death Of Ocean Acres Woman Found In Backyard

by Patricia A. Miller

An Ocean Acres woman found dead in her backyard last Friday died of hypothermia, a spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said.

The death has been ruled accidental, said Al Della Fave.

Relatives found Maureen F. Sarao, 48, in the backyard of her home at 1227 Canal Avenue at 1:45 p.m. on Dec. 13 and called police, Stafford police said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Wonder if she locked herself out and wasnt able to break back into her house to get warm?

This story just plain doesn't make any sense. No windows to break, no neighbors to help. Did she die within a few moments? Did she fall and hurt herself? Nothing but questions left from the information provided here and elsewhere so far.
