Barnegat Man Killed After Being Hit By Car Driven By Stafford Councilman's Son
Michael Grosso Jr. died shortly after the 10:30 a.m. accident on Wednesday; accident remains under investigation
The family of Barnegat's Michael Grosso Jr. is in mourning today after the 76-year-old man was killed Wednesday morning when he was struck by a car in Manahawkin, according to news reports.
Grosso, one of the owners of Grandson and Grandpa Contractors, was stopped on Mermaid Drive in Manahawkin and was standing outside his SUV when he was struck by a car driven by Robert Kusznikow, 25, of Manahawkin, according to a report by the Press of Atlantic City.
The accident happened about 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Grosso was taken to Southern Ocean County Hospital in Manahawkin, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, according to the reports.

Kusznikow, of Oxycocus Road, is the son of Stafford Township Councilman Robert Kusznikow.
Investigators from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office are continuing to investigate the accident, Deputy Chief Michael Mohel said. No charges have been filed at this time.
