Barnegat Police Arrest Waretown Man For Drunk Driving



A random license plate check by Barnegat police led to the arrest of a Waretown man for driving under the influence recently.

K-9 Officer Robert Armstrong arrested Michael Toye 2nd, 23, at 1:43 a.m. on March 23 after the license plate check showed Toye's vehicle was unregistered, Lt. Keith Germain said.

Armstrong made the arrest after stopping Toye on Lighthouse Drive. He was also issued summonses for reckless driving and driving an unregistered vehicle, Germain said.

His car was impounded in accordance with John's Law.
