Barnegat Police Charge Township Man With Drunk Driving, Traffic Offenses


A Barnegat man is facing DWI charges and numerous other offenses following a traffic stop on Barnegat Boulevard recently, Lt. Keith Germain said.

Patrolman Thomas Behrens arrested Jerry Anderson 3rd, 22, at 1:04 a.m. on May 19 after he stopped Anderson's car for speeding he said.

Anderson was processed and also charged with reckless driving, speeding, failure to maintain lane, driving with a suspended drivers license, driving with an expired driver's license, failure to wear a seat belt, and failure produce documents.

His car was impounded for 12 hours in accordance with John's Law.
