Woman was asleep in car at Walgreens.

A 30-year-old Barnegat Township resident has been arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following a report of an unresponsive motorist in the Walgreens parking lot.

Too bad she did not have the knowledge to simply move away from the driver seat to the passenger seat.

Well Dave atleast the police caught her before she could drive away and cause a fatality or maybe you would not be R.O.T.F.L.UR. A.O IF SHE HIT ONE OF YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS AND SERIOUSLY INJURING THEM OR KILLING THEM. THIS TOWN IS FULL OF IGNORANT PEOPLE THAT NEED THERE HEADS EXAMINED. I THANK GOD THE POLICE GOT HER BECAUSE I WAS IN THE PARKING LOT THAT DAY AND SAW THE POLICE DO A GREAT JOB IN STOPPING HER FROM DOING SUCH A THING AS DRIVE OFF AND CAUSING AN ACCIDENT OR HITTING A CHILD THAT JUST GOT OUT OF SCHOOL... THANK YOU BARNEGAT PD FOR A GREAT JOB WELL DONE AGAIN...

Dave, what does that mean ?
Rick February 06, 2013 at 08:18 PM
Too bad? If she had, she could have woken up and tried to drive home. What if you or one of your kids were injuried or killed if she had driven away?
Rick February 06, 2013 at 09:36 PM
AMEN!

Matt, having many people who need a checkup from the neck up is not exclusive to Barnegat.

Especially since HeadStart is right across the street from Walgreens and they let them out at 3pm. Thank you Barnegat Twp for preventing what could have been a tragic afternoon. Besides Dunfee Elementary School down the road which is a walking district- kids all over the place at that time of day! I have made plenty of mistakes in my life but never hurt anyone but myself! Thank god no one got hurt!

I know this woman personally for years now. She is crazy and neurotic, besides being a drug addict. She abuses her childern who are only 7 and 8, she isnt allowed to their school with out a police escort! She doesnt care what comes out of her mouth, shes beligerant and obnoxious. She uses and takes advantage of the state: welfare, section 8, any assitance she can get. Then sells her foodstamps for crack. She had taken quite a few of xanax, the day at walgreens. She also forgot her children at.school! Multiple times. We honestly dont know how she isnt in jail or a mental hospital. She has done horrible things to my family & other families. She calld DYFS on her neighbors multiple times with false accusations every time! She needs help and her poor kids need a stable loving home where they are not called names and being hit on their faces/heads! SOMEONE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS INSANE, SICK WOMAN!!!

Yeah Jamie, you were just so tired and deny as you will (and never take responsibility for anything that you do), that D.U.I charge still holds up. Or is 'tired' a measurable indicator on a blood test (as alcohol is)? Clean up your act as you're wobbling out of control.

Driving while drowsy (or tired) is as much of an impairment as driving while drunk. http://www.safety.com/articles/driving-while-tired This was codified in NJ as "Maggie's Law" in 2003
