BARNEGAT POLICE REPORT: Woman Charged with DWI After Car Strikes Two Parked Cars

Other driving while intoxicated and warrant arrests reported.

A 26-year-old Manahawkin woman was charged with driving while intoxicated and other charges after her car left the roadway, traversed three different lawns and struck two parked cars on Beverly Drive. 

On March 17th at 10:20 p.m., Patrolman Alex Hoffman arrested Melissa Oldham after an on scene investigation revealed that she was under the influence.

Oldham's vehicle was impounded in accordance with John's Law. She was processed and released with summonses for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane of travel.

On March 14th at 8:20 p.m., Patrolman Nicholas Venuto arrested Loretta Foster, 69, of Barnegat for driving while intoxicated after responding to a one-car motor vehicle accident on Blueclaw Drive.

Upon his arrival, Venuto found Foster lying in the driveway of a friend's Blueclaw Drive residence. Further investigation showed that Foster was intoxicated and had fallen from her vehicle while attempting to back the vehicle out of the driveway.

Foster was transported to Southern Ocean Medical Center for treatment. She was issued summonses for DWI and reckless driving. Her vehicle was impounded in accordance with John's Law.

On March 17th at 12:02 a.m., Patrolman Nicholas Dapuzzo arrested Raymond Adams, 47, of Freehold for drivng while intoxicated after responding to Bowline St to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Upon his arrival, Dapuzzo found Adams's vehicle parked on the shoulder of the roadway with the engine running and headlights illuminated. Adams was observed asleep, slumped over the steering wheel of the vehicle.

Adams was placed under arrest and his vehicle was impounded in accordance with John's Law.

Adams was processed and released with summonses for DWI and reckless driving.

On March 12th at 11:00 p.m., Patrolman Robert Armstrong arrested Cary Harr, 43, of Barnegat for DWI after stopping Harr on West Bay Avenue for failing to maintain lane of travel.

Harr's vehicle was impounded in accordance with John's Law. He was processed and released with summonses for DWI, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, failure to exhibit documents, and use of a wireless device while driving.

Richard Bauer, 48, Barnegat, $23,580 (child support), Ocean County Sheriff's Department, lodged in Ocean County Jail in default of bail.

Paul Shook, 29, Barnegat, $3,018 (child support), Ocean County Sheriff's Department, lodged in Ocean County Jail in default of bail.

Mina Ghobrial, 22, Barnegat, $254, Barnegat Twp, released after posting bail.

Nicole Johnson, 27, Barnegat, $2,406 (child support)/$500/$500, Ocean County Sheriff's Dept/Stafford Twp/Newton Twp, lodged in Ocean County Jail in default of bail.

Robert Bailey, 52, Manahawkin, $18,543 (child support), Ocean County Sheriff's Department, lodged in Ocean County Jail in default of bail.

Jason Huber, 39, Manahawkin, $1,000, Bass River Twp, released after posting bail.
