Barnegat Woman Ticketed After Driving Into Front Of Dunkin Donuts

No injuries reported in accident


Stafford Township police have charged an 86-year-old Barnegat woman with careless driving, after she drove into the front of the Dunkin Donuts store on Washington Avenue.

Police responded to the store at 6:37 p.m. on May 29 on a report of a car into the front of the store. They found that a 1988 Ford sedan had driven over the curb and struck the front of the store, causing "significant" damage, according to the police report.

The driver, Lucy Lore, was trying to park when she drove over the curb and into the store. No one was injured in the accident, police said.

Lore was issued a summons for careless driving, police said.
