UPDATE: Barnegat Woman With Outstanding Warrants Arrested For Heroin

Officer spotted Carolyn Kenney walking along Tiller Drive

Barnegat police recently arrested a township woman and charged her with possession of heroin, Lt. Keith Germain said.

Patrolman Nicholas Venuto saw Carolyn Kenney, 38, walking in the area of Tiller Drive at 12:11 p.m. on April 1. Venuto knew that Kenney had "numerous" outstanding warrants from Robbinsville, Port Republic and Barnegat, totaling $3,000, Germain said.

Venuto made contact with Kenney and placed her under arrest. He found that Kenney was in possession of eight individual folds of heroin, German said.

Kenney was subsequently charged with possession of heroin. She was processed and lodged in the Ocean County Jail in default of $15,000 bail on the heroin charge and $3,000 from the outstanding warrants, he said.
