The charges stem from an investigation that began at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, when Barnegat police discovered Steven Janson, 26, Stafford Township, dead in his red Hyundai Genesis parked across the street from 26 Starboard Avenue.

A search of his car produced four bags used for heroin with the stamp "Boom".

Also arrested was Kenneth Ebinger, 26, 26 Starboard Avenue. Ebinger told police that he and Janson had gone to Atlantic City on April 18 and bought heroin from an unidentified male. Ebinger was later charged with possession of CDS and released on a summons.

"With this added information and the help of Atlantic City Vice Squad, detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit, Special Operations Group, the High Tech Crimes Unit along with members of the Barnegat Police Department set up a cooperative undercover operation to arrest those who may have dealt heroin to the victim," Coronato said in a release today.

The operation resulted in McGee's arrest. He is also known as "Money," according to the prosecutor's office.

Detectives recovered 50 bags of heroin stamped "Stingray" from McGee. Heroin is typically sold for $6 to $20 per bag, depending on the dealer. McGee is logged in the Atlantic County Jail.
