Fisherman Suffers Heart Attack Near LBI; Hospitalized In Galloway

The man, who was not identified, was flown to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center for treatment

The Coast Guard says it assisted a fisherman suffering from a heart attack on a commercial fishing vessel near Barnegat Light Friday.

Watchstanders from Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay in Philadelphia were notified around 2:30 p.m. from the fishing vessel Captain Cecil that one of its crewmembers was in need of medical attention.

A Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew was launched and flew the 59-year-old man to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's Mainland Campus.
