Four Little Egg Residents Arrested for Heroin, Other Charges After Stafford Investigation

Detectives from the Prosecutor's Special Operations Group, Southern Enforcement Unit, the Little Egg Harbor Police Department and the Stafford Township Police Department investigated.

Four Little Egg residents have been charged with drug offenses after police seized 90 bags of heroin, marijuana, 30 oxycodone pills, and a scale following a motor vehicle stop and a subsequent apartment search, according to a statement from the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

Dianne M. Wright, 51, Thomas Wright, 34, Christine Bartholomew, 29, and Peter Piegario, 51, who all listed their residence as 799 Route 9 Apartment 2F, were arrested Thursday after police stopped their truck on Route 539, and seized 90 bags of heroin. Police officials subsequently obtained a warrant,  searched the apartment and seized marijuana, additional heroin and oxycodone pills. 

As a result of the investigation, all were charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bails for Thomas Wright and Bartholomew were set at $50,000 each with no 10 percent option, according to the Prosecutor's Office.

Bails for Dianne Wright and Piegario were set at $25,000 each with no ten percent option.

Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group, Southern Enforcement Unit along with members of the Little Egg Harbor Police Department and the Stafford Township Police Department conducted the cooperative investigation.
