Howard Stern Host Robin Quivers Victim of Hit and Run in Barnegat

Radio personality's car struck by another driver who left the scene

Robin Quivers, longtime host of the Howard Stern radio show, was the victim of a hit-and-run accident on Route 9 in Barnegat Sunday, police said.

Quivers, who has a home on Long Beach Island, was driving north on Route 9 at 3:45 p.m. when a vehicle driven by Robert Crockett, 50, of Florida, pulled out onto the highway from Union Boulevard, said Lt. Keith Germain of the Barnegat Township Police Department.

Crockett lost control of his car as he pulled onto Route 9, said Germain, and his vehicle spun and collided with Quivers' car. Crockett left the scene, but a witness was able to get his license plate number and a description of his vehicle, and was ultimately stopped just north of Barnegat by Ocean Township police, Germain said.
