K-9 Search Leads to Drug Arrest

Police say they recovered CDS with help of K9 partner.

Ptl. Robert Armstrong of Barnegat Township Police arrested a local man last night after discovering CDS in his vehicle with the help of his K-9 partner, police said.

Armstrong arrested Kenneth Ebinger, 25, of Barnegat for possession of CDS.

According to the police report, Armstrong stopped Ebinger's vehicle on April 10 at 7:00 p.m. on West Bay Avenue in the area of Hillside Avenue for being unregistered.

During the stop, Ptl. Armstrong conducted a consent search of the vehicle using his K-9 partner, Bullet.

Bullet indicated the presence of CDS in the vehicle, which Amrstrong then recovered, according to a press release from Barnegat Township Police.

Ebinger was charged with possession of CDS and released after posting $750 bail.
