A 59-year-old Manahawkin man was arrested for allegedly concealing $113 worth of goods from Kmart on Thursday.
At approximately 9:30 p.m., Stafford Police responded to the Kmart department store in reference to an adult male shoplifter. Upon arrival a brief investigation occurred resulting in the arrest of Richard E. Smrkovsky.
Smrkovsky concealed various items totaling $113.00 and proceeded to leave the store without paying, police said.
He was transported to Stafford Police Headquarters where he was processed and released with a future court appearance in the Stafford Municipal Court. Patrolman Wade was the arresting officer.
