A Barnegat Light woman was arrested this week on LBI on drug charges, police said.
On Sunday, at approximately 3:30 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on Long Beach Boulevard for the front seat passenger not wearing a seatbelt.
Further investigation by the officer found that the driver, Ashley N. Farrelly, 24, of Barnegat Light was in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Farrelly was placed under arrest and the passenger was issued a motor vehicle summons. Farrelly was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released pending a future court date.
Officer Timothy Butler made the arrest.
