LBI Woman Arrested On Drug Charges

A Barnegat Light woman was arrested this week on LBI on drug charges, police said.

On Sunday, at approximately 3:30 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on Long Beach Boulevard for the front seat passenger not wearing a seatbelt.

Further investigation by the officer found that the driver, Ashley N. Farrelly, 24, of Barnegat Light was in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Farrelly was placed under arrest and the passenger was issued a motor vehicle summons. Farrelly was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released pending a future court date.

Officer Timothy Butler made the arrest.

Why did she consent to a search?

why didn't she just say she was having dinner with the President and invoke her diplomatic immunity?

Butler is a young cop trying to look good. He stopped me once for an expired sticker at 4am going to work. How can you see my inspection sticker from the ocean side at 4am in the dead of winter. He also stopped me in my other car for a cracked windshield. Long story short, I got arrested for having my own prescription medicine. He even had the dogs rip through my car, and they found nothing else. I showed proof many different ways of the medicine, but it was not in the bottle. I was a fisherman and only brought it to take later, not before 8am. They are going to legalize pot anyway, so when they do, Butler and LBI cops can suck it. That is my bong of course :)
