LETTER TO THE EDITOR: After A Damaging Storm, Some Thanks

A local resident praises emergency personnel for their response to last week's lightning storm

Dear Mayor Cirulli, Township Committee and fellow Barnegat residents,

As a resident of Barnegat Township, it is my pleasure to write this letter. I wish to personally thank the Barnegat Township Police Department, Barnegat Township Volunteer Fire Co., Barnegat Towsnhip First Aid, Quality Medical Transport, Barnegat Township Department of Public Works and all The Barnegat Township Employees and volunteers who worked dilligently, proffessionally and in some cases even placed themselves in precarious situations for the safety of all Barnegat Residents during Friday's delluge of rain & severe thunderstorms with lightning.

Our Township Administrato,r Dave Breeden, Township Clerk Sharon Auer, Police Chief Artie Drexler, Fire Deptment Chiefs Mike Moore & Kevin Lanahan, Public Works Director Mike Ball and the heads of all departments are to be highly commended for the job done during this dangerous storm. In reading the phenominal report prepared by Administrator Breeden, it is a comfort to know that our town was ready in what was a moments notice to respond to Mother Nature's rath.
