Little Egg Harbor Man Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography


A 67-year-old Little Egg Harbor man has been charged with possession of child pornography, after a joint investigation by law enforcement agencies, Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato said.

Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato and Tuckerton Police Chief Michael Caputo rannounced today the arrest of Edgar Dykstra for possession of child pornography.

Dykstra, 6 Singleton Drive, was arrested today after an investigation by the Prosecutor's Office High Tech Crimes Unit, the Tuckerton Police Departmen and the Little Egg Harbor Township Police Department, Coronato said.

Authorities found more than 100 images of child pornography on Dykstra's lapton computer in his home, after a search warrant was issued on July 8, he said.

Dykstra was arrested and transported to the Tuckerton Police Department where he was charged with one count of possession of child pornography. Ocean County Superior Court Judge Francis R. Hodgson set Dykstra's bail at $35,000, with a ten percent option. Dykstra was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of bail, Coronato said.
