Little Egg Harbor Woman Arrested After Trying To Shoplift 42 Items From Walmart


Stafford police recently arrested a Little Egg Harbor woman after she attempted to shoplift numerous items from the Walmart store on Route 72.

Police responded to the store at 3:57 p.m. on May 23 on a report of a shoplifting incident. Loss prevention employees told police that heather M. Keeley, 31, Lake Champlain Road, had placed 42 items in her cart, pushed it past the registers and tried to leave the store, police said.

Keeley was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where she was processed and charged with shoplifting. She was released with a scheduled court date of 1 pm. on June 6 in Stafford Township Municipal Court, police said.
