For the brave ones staying on the Island. Don't forget essentials . Here is a little tip that was given to me that i would like to pass along in case you lose power. Fill any empty soda or water bottles 3/4 full of water, freeze them, and then if lose of power, take them out of freezer, put them in frige to keep food colder longer.

I'm with Big Lib Dem on this one. So we drain the Barnegat Bay, burry the spent nuke fuel, and fill in the rest with Pine trees. Then we put up wind mills and solar panels on top of that...Whella! God bless ya Big!

Doesnt everybody know the government controls the weather with the use of some machine at some b.s. place up in Alaska. This is the democrats aiming it the liberal northern states so after the storm the can come in, save the day, and all will vote for them. I know its true. Tommorow Donald Trump will prove the existence of this machine right after he proves Obama wasn't born in America. Btw Big Bird is the one at the controls of this machine.

what dolts like sleeper and oc tea party havent figured out is no one is saying bush is responsible for katrina just his total incompetence of handling the aftermath. those fema trailers are still gathering mold in virginia never having made it to new orleans where people were tying the bodies of their families to stop signs so after a week and no help was coming they had no other choice. when that happens under obama give us a call will ya? we are now having "storms of the century" every year now while this braintrusts like sleeper, rick and oc still laugh at climate change because breaking heat records every year and superstorms are of course normal.

What pinheads like Frank Reynolds and his moron liberal buddies fail to comprehend is when Katrina happened, Bush acted on the best advise available and did a decent job of handling a huge problem. To date, when the "ass clown" we have in there now can't figure out why he screwed things up, he blames Bush. So why not blame Bush for Sandy too?

I have to admit that I am a bit confused about the concept of a voluntary evacuation order. If it is a voluntary evacuation, isn't that merely a suggestion?
How is this 'order' worded? "Here's an order to leave, if you want to".

Obama stopped his campaign while Romney bought $5,000 of goods and staged a rally.
He than handed out the goods to his supporters and they in return gave them back to him so it looked liked he was helping the hurricane victims. How sick is that!

Obama stopped his campaign?
He has been campaigning for reelection since November 2008. His little jaunt into AC yesterday was just added stop on his campaign trail. He flew up on Air Force One, boarded Marine One, flew into AC and shook a few hands. The only reason he didn't go to NYC instead was because Bloomberg told him not to. And, Marine One was the 'copter he flew in from the White House to Andrews AFB to get on Air Force One. The copter then had to fly up here to meet him.
