A 24-year-old man faces a court date after he was jailed on a drunk-driving charge following an accident, police said.
Jose Santos Balan-Moreno, 25, was transported to the Ocean County Jail at the request of Immigration and Customs Enforcement following the arrest, police said.
Balan-Moreno has a future court appearance in Stafford Municipal Court.
While on routine patrol, Stafford Police encountered a motor vehicle accident that just occurred at the intersection of Route 72 and Stafford Park Boulevard.
After a brief in investigation, Balan-Moreno was determined to be driving while intoxicated, and struck a vehicle in front of him, police said.
Balan-Moreno was transported to Stafford Police Headquarters where he was processed.
