Manahawkin Man Allegedly Threatened To Stab Uncle; Charged With Drugs

A Manahawkin man was arrested on drug charges after he allegedly threatened to stab his uncle, police said.

On Sunday, Aprik 6, at approximately 12:30pm, Stafford Police was called to Barracuda Road in reference to a threat report. When officers arrived at the scene they made contact with Geraldo Cartagena who had threatened to stab his uncle, police said

Investigation revealed a traffic warrant for his arrest out of Brielle in the amount of $215.00.

Cartagena was placed under arrest by Officer Jacob Conner under the strength of the warrant.

During the arrest, Officer Conner located a small bag of marijuana, a marijuana smoking device, suspected stolen gold earrings and a Wellbutrin pill with no prescription on Cartagena's and in a bag he was carrying. Cartagena was transported to Stafford Police Headquarters where he was processed and released.
