A Manahawkin man has a date in municipal court, after he was charged with stealing a surfboard from a Prospect Avenue residence, police said.
The resident called police on Sept. 15 to report the surfboard was stolen earlier that day, said police.
Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Erik M. Admundson, 21, Jane Drive. He was charged with theft. The surfboard was recovered and returned to the owner, police said.
Amundson is scheduled for a 1 p.m. Oct. 4 court date in Stafford Township Municipal Court. The Long Beach Township and Ship Bottom police departments assisted in the investigation.
