Manahawkin Woman Arrested On LBI For Drug Possession

A 55-year-old Manahawkin woman was arrested on Long Beach Island Wednesday on drug possession charges, according to Harvey Cedars police.

At approximately 2:20 p.m., police stopped a vehicle near Mercer Avenue and Long Beach Boulevard in Harvey Cedars for an expired inspection sticker on the vehicle. The officer found that the driver, Carmella Law of Manahawkin, possessed less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Law was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia and was issued a motor vehicle summons. She was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released pending a future court date.
