A Silver Alert has been cancelled for a 77-year-old East Bay Avenue man, who was found today driving his car in Hamilton Township, Lt. Keith Germain said.
Werner Dirr - who is in the early stages of Alzheimer Disease - was reported missing Wednesday after he left his home at noon in his 2004 Kia Sedona, Germain said.
A motorist who was aware of the Silver Alert saw Dirr driving his car in Hamilton Township in Mercer County. Hamilton police department officers observed Dirr operating his vehicle in Hamilton Township, Mercer County.
"Hamilton Police Department officers were able to locate and stop Dirr's vehicle while it was exiting from Route 195," Germain said. "Dirr was unharmed."
