UPDATE: Ship Bottom Blaze Has Been Extinguished

The fire that ripped through a three-story building in Ship Bottom Monday afternoon and involved multiple fire companies is out, according to the Beach Haven Volunteer Fire Department's Facebook page.

A number of area fire companies responded to a three-alarm blaze at 2119 Long Beach Boulevard in Ship Bottom, according to the Beach Haven Fire Department's Facebook page.

The structural fire is at the offices of Shackleton and Hazeltine, attorneys on Long Beach Island.

Area roadways were currently closed and motorists were warned to expect delays throughout the area Monday afternoon.  Fire personnel set up a draft to funnel water out of the bay.

Long Beach Boulevard was shut down in both directions near the fire scene. Traffic south was backed up to Beach Haven at the height of the fire..
