The teen struck the rear passenger side window of a police vehicle several times with his head, shattering it, and exited through the broken window, police said

A 17-year-old teen was jumping onto passing vehicles at Lighthouse Drive and Whitecap Avenue on Halloween, and damaging them, Stafford police say.

On Oct. 31 at 7:52 p.m., Stafford Township Police responded to the area and confronted the 17-year-old male who was screaming incoherently, police said.

The teen became aggressive and had to be subdued by two police officers who arrived on scene to assist in handcuffing the suspect, police said.

He was then placed in the rear passenger compartment of a patrol vehicle, police said.

The teen then struck the rear passenger side window of the vehicle several times with his head, shattering it, and exited through the broken window, police said.

He was once again subdued by the officers. He said that he was under the influence of acid and marijuana, police said.

Stafford Township EMS arrived and treated the subject, who was then transported to Southern Ocean Medical Center, where he was flown to Jersey Shore Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.

His condition was listed as stable and clear for release at the time of this report. Charges are pending further investigation by the Stafford Township Police.
