Pennsylvania Man Charged With Drunk Driving Had Loaded Weapon In Car

Stafford police recently arrested a Pennsylvania man after a motor vehicle stop and charged him with drunk driving and possession of a loaded handgun, police said.

Patrolman Marc Pavlosky stopped Benjamin Klein, 32, Honey Brook, Pennsylvania for a motor vehicle violation at 12:01 a.m. on June 16 near Mill Creek Road, according to the police report.

Further investigation led to Klein's arrest for driving while intoxicated and possession of a loaded handgun. He was transported to Stafford Police Headquarters where he was processed and released pending a future court appearance, police said.

No weapons charges so why is it included? Is he a licensed owner? Can a PA carry permit be allowed here? Is he a blue brother?

Not sure what story you read but the story states twice that he was charged with possession of a loaded handgun. No, a PA carry license does not allow you to carry in NJ. If by "blue brother" you are referring to if he was Law Enforcement it doesn't matter. H.R. 218 allows any Law Enforcement Officer who is qualified by his department to carry off duty may carry concealed in any U.S state.

Ellen I may be a liberal (that in this article could not read...) but you have two last names. That makes you and a...well I wont waste my breath. Sorry that I would be concerned about any drunk person driving with a loaded weapon. Its funny, you get a DUI because a car is a weapon when drunk. what about a weapon...But he has his right to defend himself even if he is impaired beyond his ability to gauge the seriousness of a situation. All because right winged, two last named, gun nuts can make sure they are safe on the mean streets of Manahawkin. See I can type useless troll comments too... At least Piney Mike had a sensible respectable response. I did miss the reference that he was charged. I also did not know the answers to the questions I asked...He enlightened me and it is appreciated. You know us libs always looking for the learning
