The following items were recently released by the Barnegat Township Police Department:
Wednesday, Aug. 17: At 2:10 a.m., Ptl. Nicholas Venuto stopped Frank Haverick, 19, of Barnegat, on Barnegat Blvd. for failing to maintain lane of travel.

Venuto ultimately arrested Haverick for DWI, and Haverick was later released with additional summonses for reckless driving and other violations.

Saturday, Aug. 20: At 11:03 p.m., Ptl. Chris Ebert was on a routine patrol on Route 9 when he stopped Christopher Mairella, 27, of Barnegat.
Ebert discovered an outstanding warrant for Mairella of $30,000, and arrested him. Mairella was lodged in the Ocean County Jail in default of bail.
