Two arrests and a handover from State Police last week

The following items were recently released by the Barnegat Township Police Department.

Monday, March 7: At 10:36 p.m., Ptl. Lauren Keilitz arrested Joseph Nolan Jr., 46, of Barnegat on a DWI charge after stopping Nolan's vehicle for failing to maintain his lane of travel on Route 9. Nolan was released after being charged with DWI, reckless driving, failing to maintain lane of travel and failing to produce documents.

Friday, March 11: Ptl. Michael DiBlasi took custody of Karriem Royster, 37, of Barnegat form the New Jersey State Police. The NJPSP had arrested Royster in Oakhurst on an outstanding simple assault warrant out of Barnegat Township.

Saturday, March 12: At 4:08 p.m. Ptl. Timothy Bradshaw arrested John Sauer III, 28, of Barnegat on three outstanding  contempt of court arrest warrants totaling $8,500. Sauer was unable to post bail and was turned over to the Ocean County Sheriffs Department for disposition. Two warrants were out of Galloway Township at $500 each and one was out of the Ocean County Sheriffs Department at $7,500.
