Stafford Township police officers here successfully administered the heroin antidote Narcan to a man who overdosed on heroin Friday night, according to a report in The Press of Atlantic City.
Capt. Thomas Dellane said police arrived at a scene in the Ocean Acres section of the township where a 26-year-old man was unconscious.
Patrolman Russell Griffin administered the Narcan with the assistance of Patrolman Adam Sherer and the man regained consciousness by the time EMS arrived, Dellane said. He was taken to Southern Ocean County Medical Center.
