Barnegat woman faces drug possession indictment

A Barnegat man stands accused of using a weapon to assault a Stafford resident he allegedly threatened to kill.

William Napolitano of Village Drive was indicted last week in connection to an April 19 arrest in Stafford in which he allegedly used a miniature baseball bat to assault a man, authorities charge. Napolitano also threatened to kill the man, the indictment states. 

The indictment upheld charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Napolitano was released on a summons.

  • Cassandra L. Ortiz on drug charges.

Ortiz, of Potomac Court in Barnegat, was arrested June 9 on charges of possessing both heroin and suboxone, a prescription drug. She also was accused of possessing heroin with intent to sell.

Ortiz was released on a summons.
