Stafford Detectives Looking For Culprits in Car Dealership Thefts

Four dealerships were burglarized, police say

Officials with the Stafford Township Detective Bureau are investigating burglaries that occurred at car dealerships along Route 72 on Labor Day night.

The burglaries occurred at the Causeway Ford, Honda, Nissan Car Dealerships along with Sure Sales dealership, according to police.

The culprit or culprits gained entry to the dealerships by smashing out windows and then removing cash from the cash registers and a safe.

A sales manager at Causeway told the Patch today that since monies in the safe are typically deposited at the end of each day, the money stolen was probably around $1,000 or less. He added that the windows that were smashed are going to cost about that much to replace.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Stafford Township Police Department at 609-597-8581.
