Stafford Man Charged With Heroin After Found Nodding Off at Hospital
Man was found with syringe in his lap.
A 42-year-old Manahawkin man was arrested on heroin charges after police found him nodding off in a car in the parking lot at Southern Ocean County Medical Center, Stafford Township police said.
Police said at 8:14 p.m. Thursday, they responded to the hospital where they found the driver - identified as Scott E. Semchenko - with a syringe in his lap while the vehicle was running.
Semchenko was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while intoxicated. He was released pending a court date May 10.
