Stafford Mayoral Candidate Arrested for Marijuana
Three other men at Thomas Litwin's home also arrested
STAFFORD TOWNSHIP — A mayoral candidate in the Stafford Township November race was arrested and charged Friday night with possessing and distributing marijuana.
Thomas J. Litwin, 43, of the Beach Haven West section of the township, was charged with possession of more than 50 grams of marijuana, distribution of marijuana to an undercover police officer, possession of synthetic cannabinoids and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
Around 7:30 p.m. Friday, police executed a search warrant at Litwin’s residence shortly after he sold narcotics to undercover police officers.

Police also arrested two men who were staying at Litwin's home Friday including, Vincent Giordano, 27, and Ralf Boyd III, 24, and a third man, Thomas Ghigliotty, 44, who was visiting the two other men, after police determined all men had outstanding warrants.
Litwin, an independent, is running for mayor against incumbent Mayor John Spodofora. While being arrested, he reportedly was heard saying "this is not a bad day for my candidacy," citing other mayors who have been arrested on drug charges, according to one witness.
