Stafford PBA Planning Fundraiser For Fallen Comrade's Family

When Michael Steinhauer died unexpectedly on Sept. 16, many mourned his untimely passing, especially the Stafford Township Police Department.

Now they are trying to turn their grief into something positive.

"Unfortunately, Mikey's insurance did not cover thousands of dollars in medical bills," according to the department's Facebook page.  "Those bills have been left with his mom, and we are hoping to take care of this for the family."

So they've planned a day-long memorial concert fundraiser at 12 p.m. on Oct. 27 at Calloway's in Staffordville. A number of bands will play throughout the event, food and drink specials will be available, along with raffles and a 50/50.

The bands include:Shorty Long, Chuck Miller's The Impulsives, Billy Walton Band, Fred Conley's Fredstones, Dave Jones' Third Watch, and a special reunion of Moments Notice, a well-known South Jersey band, with all four original members.

Tickets for the event are $20 and can be obtained through any Stafford police officer or department employees.

Donations can also be mailed to :
