Stafford Police Charge Barnegat Man With Theft Of Equipment Worth $100,000

Stafford Township police recently arrested a Barnegat man on multiple counts of burglary and theft of over $100,000 in industrial equipment.

The incidents took place at the Clayton Block Factory on Beachview Avenue in Manahawkin over the past two months, police said.

Police charged Jeffrey M. Culp with burglarizing the facility on numerous occasions. Police set up a surveillance operation on the night of May 23. Culp was seen driving into the company yard around 8:40 p.m, hiding his car and entering the factory forcibly, according to the police report.

Culp was taken into custody by Detectives Levi McVey, Drew Smith, and Patrolman Chris Smith after a brief chase through the facility.

Culp was charged with theft of over $100,000.00 worth of industrial equipment and multiple counts of burglary. He was lodged in Ocean County Jail on $75.000 bail.
