Stafford Police Report: Barnegat Man Charged with Burglarizing Cars

Other arrests this week on outstanding warrants.

A 19-year-old Barnegat man has been arrested and charged in Stafford Township for multiple counts of burglary.

On Jan. 18 Stafford Township Police arrested Michael Dauphin, following being called earlier that week to Hazelton Court in reference to multiple vehicles that had been burglarized.

A resident of the area observed a suspicious vehicle in the area during the overnight hours and was able to provide the vehicle registration to police.  Further investigation led Dauphin's arrest.

Items stolen during the burglary included multiple global positioning systems, a camera, multiple DVD’s, a lasersight tripod, Ray Ban sunglasses and loose change. The value of the stolen property is in excess of $1,000 and all items stolen have been recovered.

Dauphin was released pending a future court date in Ocean County Superior Court.

Also, On Jan. 19, 2013 at 12:53 p.m.  Tom Ruiz, 37, of Mayetta, NJ, was arrested upon the strength of a warrant issued by Toms River Municipal Court.  He was released upon posting the required bail.

This matter is pending a court appearance to be scheduled by Toms River Municipal Court.

Also, on Jan. 15, Ryan A. Armitage, 29, of Manahawkin, NJ was arrested upon the strength of a warrant issued by Stafford Township Municipal Court.  The defendant was transported to Ocean County Jail in lieu of posting the required bail amount.

This matter is pending a court appearance scheduled for Jan. 25 in Stafford Township Municipal Court.
