Stafford Police Report: Man Charged With Theft of 'The Thief'

On Sunday May 5, 2013 at 10:22 a.m., Stafford Township Police arrested and charged Frank Clementi with shoplifting from the Kmart Department store in Manahawkin.

Clementi was arrested without incident after store security observed him steal $108 in store merchandise, which included mostly women's lingerie and a DVD movie that was ironically titled, "The Thief." 

Clementi was released pending a future court appearance in Stafford Township Municipal Court. Ptl. Drew Smith was the arresting officer.

Also, Stafford Township police reported that on April 25, 2013 at 2:41 p.m., they received a report of a burglary in progress to a seasonal residence located on Windward Drive.

Responding officers located and arrested 47-year-old Jeffrey Murray of Manahawkin.

Murray was allegedly intoxicated and in possession of bottles of alcohol and other items that were stolen from the residence. Murray was charged with burglary, criminal mischief and theft and lodged in Ocean County Jail in lieu of $25,000.00 bail set by Hon. Judge Damian Murray. The arresting officer was Sgt. John Linck.
