Two Arrested Following Burglary at Lefty's Tavern

One suspect located hiding in clothes dryer.

Two Barnegat residents have been arrested and charged following a burglary of cash and property at Lefty's Tavern.

On January 7th at approximately 9:40 p.m., Patrolman Joseph Stanziano arrested Heather Oneill-Deller, 34, and Edward Deller, 31, both of Barnegat, after responding to Lefty's in response to an alarm activation and a subsequent investigation.

A review of surveillance video from the establishment resulted in Oneill-Deller being identified as a suspect. After further investigation, officers developed sufficient probable cause to have a warrant issued for Oneill-Deller.

Officers responded to Oneill-Deller's address with a warrant for burglary. Officers conducted a search of the residence and located Oneill-Deller hiding inside of a clothes dryer.

Edward Deller, who was in the residence at the time, was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension.
