Two Autos Overturn on Parkway in Separate Crashes
Police and fire officials responded to two morning crashes near milepost 68.
Two accidents involving overturned vehicles took place within a mile of each other and about an hour apart in the Garden State Parkway’s southbound lanes in Barnegat this morning, according to the State Police.
A pickup truck flipped and caught fire near mile marker 68 at around 6:30 a.m., said State Police Sgt. Richard Keaser.
About an hour later, another car swerved to hit a ladder in the roadway and overturned not far from the site of the first accident, he said.

Neither crash resulted in serious injuries, said Keaser, but patients were transported to Southern Ocean Medical Center for observation.
There were no serious traffic issues, he said, in part because of the lane additions along that stretch of the Parkway.
