Van Runs Into Brick 7-11; Police Looking For Driver

Police are looking for a suspect who was responsible for driving a van into a 7-11 on Sunday.

At approximately 6:15 a.m., officers responded to the 7-11 located at 335 Brick Blvd. for a report of a hit and run accident.

Brick Police dispatch was advised that a white van had struck the building and fled the area.

Officers arriving on scene conducted a check of the surrounding area, but found nothing. The building was closed by the Brick Township Building Department until repairs can be made to make the building safe, police said.

Attached to this story is a still picture of the van that was parked in front of the store prior to the crash, and also a picture of the believed make and model of the van that was involved.

Brick Police are continuing to work with store management to secure video of the crash, and will release upon receipt. The accident is being investigated by Patrolman David Thergesen, police said.
