Barnegat Woman Allegedly Exposes Genitals, Tries To Spit On Cops In Heroin Bust

A Barnegat woman who tried to spit on Barnegat police officers and exposed her genitals during a heroin arrest is facing a number of charges, Lt. Keith Germain said.

Angela Woerner, 28 was charged with possession of heroin, resisting arrest, lewdness, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, after her April 9 arrest, he said.

The incident began at 2 p.m., when detectives from the Barnegat Police Narcotics Unit noticed Woerner in the parking lot of the CVS store on Bay Avenue.  They knew she had outstanding warrants.

They discovered she was in possession of heroin and marijuana. When detectives tried to arrest Woerner, she resisted arrest and tried to spit on the officers, Germain said.

She also repeatedly exposed her genitalia to the detectives, he said.
