Agenda Highlights for Tonight's Committee Meeting

Emergency appropriations vote; Township to cut checks for mailbox reimbursement

Because of Monday's Presidents Day state holiday, the Township Committee holds its regular meeting tonight. Here are some agenda highlights:

  • There will be a second reading of the ordinance granting a new lease to Quality Medical Transport for use of its building at 979 West Bay Ave., and a chance for the public to weigh in on the agreement.
  • The Committee will vote on the approval a $3.2 million bill list.
  • There will also be an emergency appropriations vote, but it is not yet clear how much in emergency funds the Committee is seeking.
  • Included in the consent agenda for the meeting is authorization for the CFO to write reimbursement checks to residents whose mailboxes were damaged during snow cleanup this winter.
  • Also in the consent agenda are a resolution awarding a contract to J.R. Henderson Labs, Inc., for water testing for the  Barnegat Township Water/Sewer Department and a resolution authorizing a third payment to Earle Asphalt of $14,276.31 for the NJDOT Municipal Aid Project for Memorial Drive.
